Camp Counselor/CIT Application 2022
Jackson County 4-H is excited to announce 4-H summer camp at Camp Myrtlewood for 2022!

We are looking for Camp Counselors who are in 8th-12th grade to volunteer for the 2022 4-H overnight camp season at Camp Myrtlewood in Myrtle Point, Oregon. Volunteer camp counselors gain valuable job experience, learn about leadership and responsibility, and become role models for the 4th-7th grade campers. 4-H Camp Myrtlewood will occur between July 25 and July 29.  4-H and non-4-H youth from Jackson, Josephine, Klamath, and Douglas, Lake, and Coos County in Oregon are welcome to apply. Applicants for camp counselor must be 16+ years old by July 1, 2022 (completed 10th grade) and applicants for CIT (counselor in training) must be 14-15 years old (completed 8th or 9th Grade). If you're younger, be on the lookout for camp registration later this Spring--campers can be ages 9-13!

To apply, interested youth should fill out the application and essay questions. Please note ALL applicants will need to complete two references. Applications are due by March 9th at 8AM. We are also recruiting applicants for adult staff. New counselors will be expected to participate in a phone interview sometime in March. Transportation to and from Camp Myrtlewood will be provided.

DATES TO KEEP OPEN:
March 9th at 7PM: Mandatory Counselor Interest Meet and Greet (plus deciding the camp theme!)
April 1-3: Southern Oregon Camp Counselor and Leadership Retreat
May 21-22: Diversity and Inclusion Counselor Training in Salem (optional)
Evening in May work session
Mandatory: An all-day training June 29 or 30
