Public Health has become a more prevalent subject of conversation in recent years. With a background in the subject, you may be inclined to help others learn and understand more about it. We may have an opportunity for you to help build a series on the subject as our freelance consultant.
At Complexly, we make videos that help our audiences develop a nuanced and complex view of the world around us. Crash Course, one of our most renowned YouTube channels, invites students, teachers, and lifelong learners to tackle subjects they might have had trouble with or are curious to learn more about.
As our freelance consultant, you'll be largely responsible for developing the course episode list and syllabus along with reviewing scripts and videos at multiple stages of the project. Public health, like many subjects, requires nuance in order to fully convey its complexities and context. You should feel comfortable navigating the subject in order to disseminate information thoughtfully to a mass audience. We'll work with our partner, American Public Health Association (APHA), to develop this series. You'll need to work with others respectfully; effectively communicating with internal and external staff while giving and receiving constructive feedback.
If you're interested, apply for this position by June 22nd!
