To address the SDG’s and how FIG works with the SDG’s, the Council established a new Task Force for 2019-2022. The Task Force focusses on FIG and the Sustainable Development Goals. This Task Force is chaired by Ms. Paula Dijkstra from the Netherlands.

The Task Force has launched a dedicated page where you can find more information about the FIG and the SDGs. This includes a statement from the president on the importance of the SDGs. In addition to that an overview is created with the most relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), targets and indicators for each FIG Commission. Together with the commissions the content of these pages will be extended and enriched with input from the experiences at practical and strategic level from the FIG members and delegates.

For the third topic we would like to actively involve you as Member Organisation of FIG. By sharing your experiences, projects, showcases, reports as well as issues we can inspire the whole FIG community. In addition to that we also would like to hear more about your needs towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.  

The Task Force has prepared three questions where you can share your experiences, your inspiring examples, your needs and recommendations. We are looking forward to receiving your answers.
