Join us on zoom for two sessions of reflection and dialogue as we reimagine how faculty, students, staff and community partners can share resources, shift power and support meaningful relationships between the Five-College campuses and local communities we collaborate with through teaching and research.

First Session on 5/13:  “Our Engagement Histories + the Present Moment”
We’ll discuss the origins of reciprocal engagement between the Five Colleges and local communities with a review of Holyoke’s Campus-Community Compact. We will also explore the current landscape of community engagement during this challenging time. A keynote conversation will be followed by sessions to discuss specific topics and best practices for building reciprocal campus-community partnerships.
 
Second Session on 5/20: “Our Engagement Challenges + Future Possibilities”
We’ll discuss the key challenges for transformational campus-community engagement and explore new ways to develop anti-racist and socially just relationships between the Five Colleges and local communities.  A keynote conversation will be followed by sessions that explore specific topics on the future of just and equitable campus-community partnerships.
 
Open to all Five College faculty, staff, students and community members working with campus partners. If you are from one of the Five Colleges, consider inviting a community partner you work with to attend, and if you are a community member, consider inviting a campus partner you collaborate with. Of course all are welcome whether you have an existing campus or community partnership. While we encourage attending both sessions, the registration process will allow you to register for a single session.
