The names of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will not be removed from the top positions in Argentina and Portugal any time soon.

On the 16th (Korean time), soccer media outlet 'SKORES' highlighted the top 10 scorers in each country's history, focusing on soccer powerhouses around the world. A total of 10 countries were targeted: France, Argentina, Portugal, Brazil, the Netherlands, Spain, England, Germany, Uruguay, and Italy.

Looking at the records of each country, most of the players in the top 10 highest scorers in history do not have much difference in their records. For example, in the case of Italy, Luigi Riva, the highest scorer in history, has 35 goals, and Francesco Graziani, who ranks 10th, has 23 goals, a gap of only 12 goals.

However, there was one monster living in Argentina and Portugal. Just playing 100 international games and joining the Century Club is enough to become a legendary player, but Messi and Ronaldo have scored more than 100 international goals. In the history of soccer, the only players in 10 countries to score more than 100 international goals were Messi and Ronaldo.

First, Messi scored 104 goals for Argentina. The gap with second place Gabriel Batistuta (55 goals) was almost double. It seems that Messi's record will not be easily broken, not for the time being, but until the day football continues.
