Course Description: What are we
talking about when we talk about antisemitism? Though it’s become increasingly
visible, discussing antisemitism can feel fraught and overwhelming, opening up
big questions related to Jewish identity, history, and discrimination in the
past and in the present.
Over four classes
led by Rabbi Nora, explore different facets of this difficult and fascinating
concept and gain context and resources to help you grapple with manifestations
of antisemitism moving forward. While the conversations will be grounded in
learning and curiosity, this class is not designed as a training for how to
respond to or fight antisemitism or a processing space for personal experiences
of antisemitism. Come with an open
mind and be prepared to do a little pre-reading or listening before
class.
This course is intended to build community among participants in their 20s & 30s living in the Greater Washington DC area.
