Join us for the Young Artists Exchange on June 11th @ the CAC!
On Saturday, June 11, 2022, 10am - 3pm, Prospect New Orleans, IWES, Teen Art Salon, and the CAC will host the first ever "Young Artists Exchange": a day for young artists to gain resources, technical skills, and wisdom about pursuing a creative career, and life, in New Orleans and beyond.

The Exchange will feature workshops facilitated by the Institute of Women and Ethnic Studies, Teen Art Salon, and a team of artist mentors comprised of New Orleans-based practicing contemporary artists.

The Young Artists Exchange is FREE and open to artists/creatives/designers/makers ages 16-21. Registration will remain open until all 50 spots have been filled, but participants are encouraged to register early.

9:30am – 10:15am: Light breakfast, sign-in, and welcome
10:15am – 11:15am: Creativity, Mental Health, Self-care Workshop facilitated by IWES
11:15am – 12:15pm: Managing Your Artistic Career facilitated by Teen Art Salon
12:15am – 1:00pm: Lunch
1:00pm – 2:15pm: Techniques & Skills workshops with Mentor Artists
2:15pm – 3:00pm: Reflections & Closing

Please note:

*The Young Artist Exchange begins at 9:30AM and ends at 3:00PM, on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the Contemporary Art Center: 900 Camp St, New Orleans, LA 70130.

*Breakfast, lunch, and swag will be provided for all participants. :)

*To ensure the safety of all participants, this event has limited capacity and Covid-19 protocols have been implemented, including suggested mask wearing while indoors at the CAC.
