This DiGRA 2019 One Hour Game Jam workshop offers a short game jam for the participants of the conference. The format of the workshop allows anyone to take part in game making and network with others interested in game jams and game creation. The development time for the game jam is one hour, but the entire workshop is 170 minutes.

The workshop will start with a tutorial of the Bitsy game editor to allow attendants with no previous game development experience to make a game in one hour.

The slot for the jam is two hours including introduction, theme announcement, team forming and upload. Participants are also free to choose their own tools skipping the Bitsy tutorial and joining the jam for the two hour slot. The games will be published under Creative Commons and made available for anyone to play after the jam utilizing Itch.io platform.
