Greetings!  I hope you all have had an enjoyable summer.  As this year begins I would like to share my excitement in being part of your musical education and watching each of you grow both musically and as a person.

I have designed an online tour of our music department on our webpage to help answer many of the questions that will surface throughout the year.  In this tour you will find policies, procedures, and other important information regarding the Black River Middle School Instrumental Program.  Please go to my website, brmsmusic.weebly.com.

To join our music department, please take the time to:
1. Read the material in the Band Handbook Tour on the website, as the success of our program depends upon each individual working toward the same goals.  All the materials, books, and binder setup are on the website.
2. Kindly fill out the Instrumental Sign-up Form below ASAP.

The spirit of great music programs comes from each student and person involved.  I strongly believe that when students, parents, teachers and administration work together, truly superb events happen.  I invite all of your comments and suggestions to help develop the musical and lifetime experiences that each young adult in Black River will never forget.

There is NO FEE for Instrumental Band (or Chamber Orchestra: Friday mornings) which meet DURING the school day.

BRMS does has a couple of musical ensembles that require a ONE TIME "Activity Fee."

These groups are ONLY "Honors Music" (That meets BEFORE school) AND Encore Jazz Ensemble (That meets AFTER school). Both these groups are included in the one time activity fee.  
Please DO NOT pay for any music ensembles until your child has been accepted into these special ensembles.
