5th Grade Summer Learning 
Scholars entering 4th - 5th grade can discover stories that place emphasis on character. They will have one book to read assigned by their teacher, and the opportunity to choose their style of video for a project. There are also math facts specific to their grade level, and optional STEAM projects. Completing the book reading, reading project, math and poetry memorization are required for them to attend the Summer Learning Bash. Forms must be submitted by Friday, August 16th.

(Note: Books have been assigned by the teacher; therefore it is strongly encouraged that incoming scholars read the title in order to collaborate with other scholars the first weeks of school. A scholar who does not read the title will not be able to participate or complete the related assignments.) 

We are excited to celebrate our scholars who complete their Summer Learning with our epic annual Summer Learning Bash at the start of school. Please complete the following once scholar has completed their Summer Learning.

Scholars should read the grade assigned book over the summer. This book has been assigned by the teacher and will be discussed during the first weeks of school. A scholar who does not read the book will not be able to participate or complete related assignments.

Many families travel and go to exciting places over the summer. If your scholar visits a US STATE or travels out of the country, or has a unique experience such as camping or hiking, he or she may submit a travel vlog. See vlog example here
