The City of Berkeley Fire Department offers different disaster preparedness trainings for groups of 15 or more community members.

To request a training, please confirm that at least 15 neighbors, friends, or other people who work or reside in Berkeley will attend/participate.

Please complete this form to request a training and an Emergency Services Coordinator with the Fire Department, Berkeley Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) member, or other Fire Department personnel will follow up with you to schedule your training.

Visit from a Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) Inspector (currently only available during business hours M-F, 9-5pm) (vegetation management, home hardening, and defensible space education)

Wildfire Evacuation Planning Workshop (making a plan for Extreme Fire Weather; recommended for Berkeley Hills residents)

Disaster Cache Training (review and maintenance of neighborhood disaster cache supplies)

Neighborhood Exercise/Emergency Drill Planning (CERT organization, light search and rescue, evacuation, etc)

Apartment Preparedness -- Safety Monitor Training (making a plan to account for neighbors in a building evacuation)

General Emergency Preparedness (learn about local hazards, make a family communication plan, and develop a disaster kit)

Fire Engine Visit/Fire Safety presentation from firefighters
