Thanks so much for listening to the Tales from the Toolbox Podcast and for your interest in Listening Partnerships - they really can be life changing!

We know that reaching out to a stranger can feel scary, as can trying out a Listening Partnership the first few times, so in order to make this group as safe as possible, we would like everyone to understand the spirit in which it is offered and agree to some basic rules. Please read through this form and fill out the questions below.

Once we receive your form we'll send you an email with a link to join the WhatsApp group and guidelines for posting in there.

This group is offered to parents worldwide on a voluntary basis by the presenters of the Tales from the Toolbox Podcast. We, like you, have busy family lives so it might take us a few days to add you. Thank you for your understanding.

Please note that this group exists to support parents, whatever circumstances you are facing, but it is a peer support group rather than a specialist theraputic service so is not an appropriate place to post if you are experiencing significant mental health difficulties such as suicidal urges. Please contact Samaritans or an equivalent organisation in your home country in this situation.

1. Bring warm, undivided attention when listening.
2. Do not give advice or judgement.

3. Keep everything said strictly confidential and don't refer back at any point.

4. Use a timer and split your time equally.

5. Offer a refresher question once a turn has ended.
