Introduction:
ಮುನ್ನುಡಿ:

There is a growing culture/subculture among queer men and trans women across the urban and rural areas alike, wherein substances like alcohol, cannabis and synthetic drugs are used to have sex. In the west it is being called chemsex and in India and some of the south asian countries, we know it as High Fun. This involves  getting high on “party drugs” like Gamma
Hydroxybutyrate/ Gamma Butyrolactone (GHB/GBL, known as G or Gina), Mephedrone (Meph
or Meow), Crystal Methamphetamine (Crystal Meth), and having sex. HF specifically involves
consuming crystal meth and/or a cocktail of meth and marijuana/hashish. Meth is often
“slammed” i.e. injected. However, we recognise that High Fun in India cannot be limited only to the consumption of meth, given the difficulty in the accessibility and the affordability of the chemical drugs. We have observed that other substances like high alcohol content beers and excessive smoking of cannabis and cigarettes with such alcohol are also done before, during and after sex.
ನಗರ ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ವೀಯರ್ (ಲೈಂಗಿಕ ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ/ಸಲಿಂಗಪ್ರೇಮಿ) ಪುರುಷರಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಟ್ರಾನ್ಸ್ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ/ಉಪಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ  ಒಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಮದ್ಯ, ಗಾಂಜಾ ಮತ್ತು ಕೃತಕ ಔಷಧಗಳಂತಹ ಮಾದಕವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಭೋಗದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಪಶ್ಚಿಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದನ್ನು ‘ಕೆಮ್ಸೆಕ್ಸ್’ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಏಷ್ಯಾದ ಕೆಲವು ದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದನ್ನು ‘ಹೈ ಫನ್’ ಎಂದು ನಾವು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಇದು ಗಾಮಾಹೈಡ್ರಾಕ್ಸಿಬ್ಯುಟೈರೇಟ್/ಗಾಮಾ ಬ್ಯುಟಿರೊಲ್ಯಾಕ್ಟೋನ್ (ಜಿ.ಎಚ್.ಬಿ/ಜಿ.ಬಿ.ಎಲ್, ಜಿ ಅಥವಾ ಜೀನಾ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ), ಮೆಫೆಡ್ರೋನ್ (ಮೆಫ಼್ ಅಥವಾ ಮಿಯಾವ್), ಕ್ರಿಸ್ಟಲ್ ಮೆಥಾಂಫೆಟಮೈನ್ (ಕ್ರಿಸ್ಟಲ್ ಮೆಥ್)  ಅಂತಹ "ಪಾರ್ಟಿ ಡ್ರಗ್ಸ್" (ಮಾದಕವಸ್ತುಗಳು) ಅನ್ನು ಸಂಭೋಗದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಮೊದಲು ಸೇವಿಸುವುದು. ಎಚ್.ಎಫ಼್. ಅಂದರೆ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ಟಲ್ ಮೆಥ್ ಮತ್ತು/ಅಥವಾ ಮೆಥ್ ಮತ್ತು ಗಾಂಜಾ/ಹಶಿಶ್‌ನ ಬೆರಕೆ ಅನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವುದ. ಮೆಥ್ ಅನ್ನು "ಸ್ಲ್ಯಾಮ್" ಮಾಡಿ ಅಂದರೆ ಸೂಜಿ/ಇಂಜೆಕ್ಷನ್ ನಿಂದ ಚುಚ್ಚಿ ಸೇವಿಸುವುದು. ಹಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ರಾಸಾಯನಿಕ ಔಷಧಿಗಳ ಲಭ್ಯತೆಯ ಮತ್ತು ಕೈಗೆಟುಕುವ ತೊಂದರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗಮನದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು, ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಚ್.ಎಫ಼್. ಕೇವಲ ಮೆಥ್ ಸೇವನೆಗೆ ಸೀಮಿತವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನಾವು ಗುರುತಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ  ಮದ್ಯ ಮಟ್ಟ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಬಿಯರ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಕುಡಿದು, ಅದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಗಾಂಜಾ ಮತ್ತು ಅತಿಯಾದ ಧೂಮಪಾನದಂತಹ ಇತರ ಮಾದಕವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಭೋಗದ ಮೊದಲು, ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಂತರ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ನಾವು ಗಮನಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

Pride month in Bangalore happens in November in celebration and commemoration of our lost friends & loved ones. We hope to remain a safe space for all, and hope to foster better physical health and mental health amongst our community. We are using the platform of Namma Pride to reach out to all of our community from various backgrounds and extend a helping hand.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರೈಡ್ ತಿಂಗಳು ನವೆಂಬರ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರ ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರೀತಿಪಾತ್ರರ ಸ್ಮರಣಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಆಚರಣೆಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಸ್ಥಳವಾಗಿ ಉಳಿಯಲು ನಾವು ಆಶಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ, ಹಾಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮುದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ದೈಹಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಲು ಆಶಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮುದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಿಧ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಗಳಿಂದ ಇರುವವರಿಗೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ತಲುಪಲು ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾಯ ನೀಡಲು ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರೈಡ್ ವೇದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸುತಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

Why is this survey being done?
Chemsex is an under researched topic in India. Mostly due to the newly budding culture of chemsex as well as the stigma attached to it. Queer health issues are typically under researched in India as well. Currently, there is no database on chemsex or users in India. This survey is an effort to collect data that can be used to not only get a picture of the prevalence of chemsex in our community but also having this data might be helpful in creating a more comprehensive response to the issue at hand.

ಕೆಮ್ಸೆಕ್ಸ್ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಗೆ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರ ಕಾರಣ ಕೆಮ್ಸೆಕ್ಸ್‌ ಹೊಸ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಆಗಿದ್ದು, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳಂಕ ಒಡಗೂಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಕ್ವೀಯರ್ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ವಿಚಾರ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತವಾಗಿ, ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಮ್ಸೆಕ್ಸ್ ಅಥವಾ ಮಾದಕವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸುವವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ದತ್ತಸಂಚಯ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆಯು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮುದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಮ್‌ಸೆಕ್ಸ್‌ನ ವ್ಯಾಪಕತೆಯ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವುದು ಈ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗೆ ವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾದ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಠಿಸಲು ಸಹಾಯಕವಾಗಬಹುದು.
