Help Stop the Erosion of Wauwatosa's Neighborhoods
Background:

John Vassallo and Kosmos Aquisitions, LP have submitted a proposal to build a 25-story, 354-unit apartment building on the corner of Highway 100 and Bluemound Road in Wauwatosa, adjacent to single family homes. The City's Plan Commission will review that request on November 9 at 6 pm.

To complete the build, Kosmos Aquisitions must be granted a change in zoning, called a Planned Unit Development overlay by the Plan Commission. Current zoning only allows approximately 67 units. This build would tower over a neighborhood of single family homes, setting a precedent for all of Wauwatosa. This build could mean any homes near commercial buildings would be next for high density, high rise apartment housing.

Despite resident concerns about size, traffic, pollution, light, noise, crime, and loss of neighborhood identity, this group submitted their plans during a time of multiple crisis situations in our city.

Do you want to keep Wauwatosa a desirable suburb for families?
If so, please sign this petition urging city officials to support more sensible developments and vote no to the zoning variance requested at 10845 W Bluemound Road.

Thank you,

Proposed 25 story building
I am opposed to high density housing in close proximity to family homes. I do not support a Planned Unit Development for density zoning variance at Highway 100 & Bluemound Road, including that submitted to the city by Kahler Slater on behalf of POG KOSMOS AQUSITIONS, LP, for a new mixed use development at 10845 W Bluemound Road. *
