Absentee vote on Proposed changes to the Canterbury Primary Principals Association Inc Constitution
Please read the proposed changes outlined below, regarding executive membership numbers, roles, and the inclusion of an appointed tumuaki Māori member to the executive.

7.0 Executive

7.2 Members

Current:

7.2.1 The Executive shall consist of the officers of the Association, viz.: President, Immediate Past President, Vice President, Treasurer and ten other members.

Changed to:

7.2.1 The Executive shall consist of the officers of the Association, viz.: President, Immediate Past President, Vice President, Treasurer, an appointed tumuaki Māori and ten other members

Additional Clauses:

7.4 The tumuaki Māori, appointed to the executive, will be on recommendation of the tumuaki Māori within CPPA Membership. If there is no-one willing or able, the position will remain vacant until it can be filled.

7.5 The tumuaki Māori shall be appointed for a two year term in line with other elected executive positions.

Where a casual vacancy occurs the executive may decide to fill that vacancy by either election or by appointment.
