Curriculum for Wales - Ysgol Tryfan's Vision
From September 2022, Year 7 pupils will begin studying the new Curriculum for Wales. This means that as a school community we need to ensure that our vision clearly defines what we want to provide for our learners.
We are very keen to involve you in our journey to design a new curriculum and are ready to listen to any relevant suggestions, comments or contributions you may have.

At the heart of the Welsh Government's vision is the aspiration for all children and young people in Wales to fulfill the four purposes, and develop into:
ambitious, capable learners who are ready to learn throughout their lives
enterprising, creative contributors who are ready to play a full part in life and work
ethical, informed citizens who are ready to be citizens of Wales and the world
healthy, confident individuals who are ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society

What is Ysgol Tryfan's Vision for the new Curriculum?
SUPPORTING, INSPIRING – AS A FAMILY
Ysgol Tryfan is a FAMILY and all family members work towards the same goal of creating a happy, supportive and inspirational environment.
We emphasise the importance of each individual pupil within the school and have high expectations regarding standards and effort. We embrace every opportunity to develop self-respect and respect for others, personal wellbeing, confidence and perseverance, equipping our children to achieve and succeed in life.
We aim to provide a school curriculum that is accessible, inclusive and fair to all. We offer rich experiences that are fun and inspiring with opportunities for innovation, creativity, critical thinking and opportunities to learn from mistakes. We provide learners with resources and the environment to learn through a variety of methods developing independence, digital skills and the ability to work effectively as a team.
We take pride in our contribution to our community, its culture and to the world. We celebrate our Welshness and our ability to develop as informed, confident, bilingual citizens.
