Artisans' Tent Application, 2024
The Lexington Farmers' Market (LFM) looks forward to another season offering the community access to the wares of some of the area's most talented craftspeople and fine artists.  The LFM Artisans' Tent Committee (ATC) is now accepting applications for those who would like to be considered as visiting exhibitors and vendors for the 2024 season.  Please respond to the questions below as thoroughly as possible.  Applications will be reviewed and accepted at the discretion of the ATC.

PRODUCER ONLY
The LFM is a producer-only market, which means we only allow farmers/vendors/artisans who grow or produce what they sell.

LOCATION:
Due to ongoing construction in Lexington Center, the Lexington Farmers' Market has relocated to the Worthen Road Practice Field next to Lexington High School.

TIME & DATES:
The market will be held every Tuesday (rain or shine) 2:00 pm - 6:30 pm, and will be open for 23 weeks from May 28, 2024 to October 29, 2024. Starting in October the market closes at 6:00 pm.

All applicants will be notified of acceptance by the third week in April.

The market’s insurance agency requires that all LFM farmers/vendors/artisans maintain a commercial general liability policy with a minimum of $1 million per occurrence and a $2 million aggregate limit. Additionally, the policy needs to list the Lexington Local Food Collaborative, Inc. dba Lexington Farmers’ Market as an additional insured. These limits are becoming the standard in the industry for insurers of farmers’ markets. Are you able to comply with this requirement? *

If you do not have a website, please submit images of your work for review by the committee.  Your photos should represent your work in the most professional and artistic way possible.  Submissions may be sent electronically to adrian.leone@gmail.com.
Important:
All applications will be carefully reviewed by the LFM Artisans' Tent Committee.  Prospective participants will be evaluated on the basis of craftsmanship, creativity and overall presentation.  Artisans selected for participation will be invited to do so on a rotating basis throughout the season. CONTINUING THIS YEAR: we will have only 2 artisans per market, 1 each in our 2 artisans tents.  Every possible effort will be made to feature a complementary mix of media/goods at each market session, with scheduling managed by the Committee.

Prior to participation all vendors will be required to sign and submit a liability waiver releasing LFM from responsibility for damages to property or personal injury that may occur during time spent on the market premises, as well as to review and sign off an acceptance of LFM Rules & Regulations.

The cost for participation at each market session will be $35.00 per vendor, payable by check to the “Lexington Farmers’ Market”. Failure to submit payment as such following correspondence from the LFM Artisans’ Tent Committee will result in forfeiture of your space—a vendor from the waiting list will be placed in your spot.   Please note:  PAYMENT SCHEDULE:

Payment is due for dates between 5/28/24 and 8/1/24 NO LATER THAN May 1, 2024.
Payment is due for dates between 8/6/24 and 10/29/24 NO LATER THAN August 1, 2024.

Initial scheduling information will be forthcoming and all applicants will be notified of acceptance by the third week in April.
