Speakers: Nicole Kalms, Derlie Mateo-Babiano, Samantha Donnelly, Sophie Dyring

Transformations: Action on Equity, brought together international and Australian speakers who are actively creating new futures for the built environment professions and the communities they serve. It provides an opportunity to learn from leading practitioners and academics, to share ideas with colleagues and to enhance your knowledge of the gender equity in the built environment professions and practice.

Transformations was a collaboration between Parlour and the Melbourne School of Design, University of Melbourne, 14 & 15 November, 2020. It was convened by Justine Cark, Julie Willis and Anna Hurliman.

In this session Nicole Kalms (MADA XYX Lab), Derlie Mateo-Babiano (MDS), Samantha Donnelly (UTS, MADA XYX Lab), and Sophie Dyring (Schored) discuss how practitioners and researchers can help create more equitable built environments, which welcome and support underrepresented groups and disadvantaged communities.

Please refer to the Parlour website for the learning objectives associated with the symposium. These relate to the Practice Management Unit of Competency in the Australian National Standard of Competency for Architects.
