Durham Book Club Committees

JOIN OUR TEAM!

Durham Book Club is led entirely by fellow middle school students from around Durham, and we are looking to fill a few spots this year! We have so many opportunities in the Student Leadership team, and we would love for you to join us and bring your ideas and talents.

This is a one school-year commitment, and we meet via Zoom every week. We don't know what day or time we're meeting just yet, but we will work together to make sure it's a time that everyone can attend the meetings. If you would like to join our team, let us know which areas you might be interested in and we'll be in touch.

Title selections: working with a team to choose the 4 books for next year

Graphic design: flyers, t-shirts, stickers, website templates, etc!

All the marketing: website content, social media posts, etc

Money stuff: budgeting and fundraising

Games and Other Fun Stuff: plan and create book-related activities for each month

Book chats: lead book discussions

Talking to the authors: planning the Zoom calls or in-person events, interviewing the authors
