Breathwork Journey is a transformational experience. Your deep, repetitive circular breath will guide you on a deep-dive journey of self-discovery.
During this group activity, we sit in a circle on individual yoga mats. An opening circle will acquaint you with each other, explain the practice, answer questions, and help you to set an intention for your individual experience.
Before the breathwork practice begins, each participant is blindfolded, then lays upon their mat. Facilitator Lisa Betz-Marquez will call in the four directions, ancestors, helpful guides and spirit teachers to join in the journey while participants begin practicing the repetition of circular breathing.
A curated play list of music will be played, designed to take one through the energetics of the chakra system. At the end of the 45-75 minute breathwork practice, a 20-minute period of silence will commence, during which time art processing or journaling is invited. Lisa provides a snack of fresh fruit to help with grounding. At the end of the period of silence, a closing circle is held, and participants are invited to share what the wish about their journey.
No two experiences are ever alike. This practice is shamanic in nature, and is considered Shadow Work, where you may meet hidden or buried aspects of yourself and learn more about your thought process, triggers, and motivations in this life. Lisa as facilitator offers sound healing, energy work, healing touch, and a variety of processing tools learned throughout her extensive training as a Reiki Master, NLP Practitioner, and Transformational Breathwork Facilitator.
Participants: Dress with layers, depending on the season. You may get cold, you may feel warm. You will want to bring your own blindfold, a pillow and blanket, if you desire your own. Studio blindfolds, mats, cushions, and blankets are available at the studio. Please bring your own water, journal and pen, an open mind and heart.
