We are so excited that you have chosen to participate in leading the Midway Young Adult Ministry. We believe in your potential to lead others in growing closer to Jesus. Our goal for the YA Leadership Team is
to develop the elders of tomorrow's church. Wherever God calls you or your family in the future, we want you be equipped to help lead your church to better make disciples of Jesus.
We believe a YA Leadership Team Member will have some level of what we call the "5 Stars." These 5 Stars are 5 areas we believe are important to develop when building a foundation for leadership. This foundation is what we call "Leading Self." If anyone wants to begin leading others they must start with leading self. We hope to give YAs the opportunity to develop skills to lead theirselves. Which of the 5 Stars do you relate to?

3) Coachable
4) Respond with Courage
5) Think others first
Don't feel bad if you can't relate to all the areas. The leadership team will focus on developing these 5 Stars as we learn to lead ourselves.
Joining the Leadership Team is not something we want you to take lightly. This participation will be a year long commitment to help lead the Midway Young Adult Ministry from June 2024 - May 2025. Please take some time to pray through this decision. Our hope is that through this opportunity you will see that the Midway Young Adult Team believes in your potential and wishes that you leverage that to impact God's Kingdom.
Our Purpose:
To inspire a sense of belonging and purpose in every young adult we encounter, guiding them towards spiritual growth and leadership, with the belief that every individual has the potential to be a pillar of tomorrow's church.
Under the Leadership Team, we have 3 areas to serve in YA Ministry while learning to lead self.
- Connect Night Team: This team will work together to make the weekly YA gatherings on Monday nights fun and engaging by bringing together and implementing ideas for each night. This team will be responsible for planning and executing our Connect Nights.
- Social Media Team: The social media team helps to bring our ministry to life on social media. They are creatively planning and creating content that helps our YAs stay connected and informed on all things Young Adult Ministry
- Connections Team: Our connections team helps to connect young adults that attend on Sunday mornings to the young adult ministry. There are a number of Young Adults that attend Midway on Sunday morning but are not aware that there is a ministry for them. Our connections team helps to identify and connect those young adults.
