Online Mindfulness Mondays - Navigating Through Difficult Times, Together - July 2020
Dear Heart Friend,

I am delighted that you have decided or are thinking to take part in the three part JULY online series of Mindfulness Mondays. Initially, this course was designed with the subtext of "Cultivating Joy Through Community."  That will NOT be lost. We come together to witness each other's joy and sorrow. As we navigate through difficult and uncomfortable sensations, emotions, new life circumstances, and unrecognizable feeling states, let us move through it, together, with courage and curiosity.

Social connection improves physical health, mental and emotional well-being. As we embark on this journey together on ZOOM, come with an open mind and commit to your joy and happiness. Moreover, how do we bring it all and use these practices to become an agent of change? That is ultimately how we may use our spiritual growth. To feel our interconnectedness with all beings everywhere.

I ask that you to commit to the three-week duration so we may dig deep together. Each session I will introduce techniques and skills that you may take home and practice for mindful living. We will meditate, laugh, practice vulnerability and courage, and be active listeners for each other in our cozy, online group. It is my intention to create an inclusive space where you feel supported and can become an active participant in the weekly themes which will bring us closer to cultivating joy, wisdom and learn to navigate unpleasant and uncomfortable sensations as they rise.

In order for this to be affordable for all income levels, I am working on a sliding scale.

The following range of $50 - $150 will help keep my work sustainable and be able to offer scholarships to BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folx.   Your one time payment will include ALL three sessions.

We will read excerpts from the book "When Things Fall Apart: Heart Advice for Difficult Times" by Pema Chodron, a teacher I respect and learn from. Please buy or borrow a copy. Used versions under $10 can be found at Thriftbooks online. Or, consider using one of our local Black owned bookstores to make your purchase. The reading will be no more than 10 pages per week. You may of course read more!

If you have further questions, do not hesitate to email me at:
