Warsaw IT Days 2021 - Call for Papers

We invite you to speak at the 12th edition of the Warsaw IT Days (shortly: WDI) that will take place on the 8th-9th of April 2021 online.
NOTE: Due to the form of the event, availability on the days of the event is not necessary. Recordings of the presentations will be prepared in advance, more information below.

ℹ️ What is WDI?

👥 The partners of the event are the largest expert technology communities and student clubs.
Media patrons - the most influential media in the field of technology and employment in Poland.

👨‍💻 Participants represent a range of levels of experience:
> 30% Students with no experience
> 40% Juniors with experience
> 30% Senior / Experts
The estimated number of participants is approx. 7,000 people (conference part), 10,000 people (the entire project).

🎥🔴💬 Basic information about the speeches and event's online formula:
> List of technology areas covered by the event: can be found in the form below, however it could be assessed that the event covers basically the entire IT and Data Science fields
> The full list thematic tracks is available on the event website, it will be similar to the previous edition (https://warszawskiedniinformatyki.pl/en)
> The length of the time slot of a speech: 30 minutes
> Language of the speech: Polish or English
> We put a strong emphasis on 'case studies' speeches, which are the most welcome ones
> IN 2021, THE EVENT WILL HELD BE FULLY ONLINE
> THE CONFERENCE PART WILL BE BASED ON THE RECORDINGS OF THE PRESENTATIONS PREPARED IN ADVANCE, AVAILABLE FOR PARTICIPANTS IN A CONVENIENT AND FLEXIBLE VOD SYSTEM. We invite all speakers to actively participate in the event, but availability on the days of the event is not obligatory.
> Recordings of the presentation can be prepared by the speaker independently or remotely, with the help of the organizers
> Only the Main Stage and IT Security tracks will be transmitted live on 8.04 and 9.04 respectively.

Due to the form of the event, participation in the conference as a Speaker is tantamount to agreeing to:
> Publishing the recording of your speech to registered Participants of the Warsaw IT Days during and after the event
> In case of the presentation transmitted live, allowing the Organizers to record a session with your performance and to make this recording available to registered Participants during and after the event.

The personal data administrator is Academic Partners Foundation, Kwitnąca Street 6/46, 01-926 Warsaw, KRS 0000442304, NIP 118-20-88-939. You can contact with administrator via contact forms in "Contact" section on https://warszawskiedniinformatyki.pl/ website.

>What are an aim and a legal basis of personal data processed?
Your personal data will be processed for collecting and grading proposals for conference. Personal data will be processing in accordance with you permission (GDPR Art. 6 (1) lit. a). Providing personal data is voluntary, but the lack of them prevent the qualification process of candidate.

>How long the personal data will be processed?
Your personal data will be processed until you will withdraw your consent for processing. You are allowed to withdraw your consent at any times. Your data could be also deleted after the time of storage your data has elapsed or they will be unnecessary for realized aim.

>Who can your personal data be transferred to?
Your personal data may be processed by external partners supporting our business processes, like data recipients. Data recipients (processing entities) will perform services for the data administrator in the IT solutions area, technical support, external entities supporting the data administrator in IT security, marketing or sales processes. Personal data may be transferred to third countries only if the data controller has an appropriate legal basis, e.g. based on an issued decision stating an adequate level of protection or subject to appropriate safeguards (e.g. binding corporate rules or standard contractual clauses).

>What are the rights related to the protection of personal data?
You have the right to complain to the supervisory authority, the right to require administrator access to their personal data, rectification, erasure or restriction of processing, as well as to object to the processing and the right to transfer the data. The personal data administrator does not intend to use automated decision-making techniques, including profiling.

>What are the consequences of not providing personal data?
Providing personal data is completely voluntary, and in the case where personal data will not be given the controller will not be able to accept applications for instance as a speaker at the event organized.
