@iLabAfrica is a Centre of Excellence in ICT Innovation and Development at Strathmore University. The centre spearheads Research and Innovation in Information Communication Technology for the Development (ICT4D) of ecosystems towards the attainment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to contribute toward Kenya’s Vision 2030. The research center is involved in interdisciplinary research, students’ engagement, collaboration with government, industry and other funding agencies.

@iLabAfrica Certified Penetration Tester is a three month course aimed at equipping students with the skills and knowledge for Basics in Cybersecurity and Penetration Testing strategies, ethical hacking methodologies and the legal issues surrounding cybersecurity. It covers a wide range of topics giving practical examples and industry-based scenarios.

Upon successful completion of this program, participants will be able to:
1. Understand the basics of cybersecurity
2. Build their own penetration testing lab  
3. Write scripts using python and bash
4. Understand the process of penetration testing
5. Understand the cyber laws of Kenya
6. Perform digital forensics analysis, and
7. Understand ethical hacking methodologies and techniques
