This form is due: Friday, February 14th at 5 p.m.
To capture the vibrant innovation and research happening on the SUNY Potsdam campus, in April 2020 the second TEDx event will take place, this time around the theme of "Identities." This topic opens opportunities for talks which comment on important issues in our modern society, and is purposefully broad to offer considerations from a variety of subject areas including (but not limited to): politics, sociology, art and science.
SUNY Potsdam faculty and students alike are invited to be a part of this special day. For faculty to be considered, please submit more information in regard to your prospective talk in the form below. Faculty presentations may be up to 18 mins long, and connect their area of interest with 'Ideas Worth Sharing', a guiding principle of TED. Those with short-listed proposals must participate in a mandatory Study Day on the afternoon of February 28 when the TEDx committee selects final presentations.
Please note:
Presentations will need to be accessible to a general audience. All applicants must be available for the live event on Saturday, April 18, from 9:30am - 5:30pm & a rehearsal day on April 17th. Those not selected as TEDx presentations may be invited to participate in the Open Mic session on April 18.
