28.-30.10., Centrum současného umění DOX
Hlavním cílem workshopu je aktivizace těla v jeho reaktivnosti na nejrůznější podněty. Vycházíme z myšlenkových základů funkční anatomie, bojových umění a z naší vlastní imaginace. Hledáme nové možnosti a zároveň se ale cíleně limitujeme senzorickou technologií.
Workshop začíná od jednoduchých pohybů, díky kterým probudíme tělesné funkční souvislosti. Naladíme se na sebe, zakotvíme se v přítomném momentu a připravíme se na komplexnější úkoly.
Ve druhé části workshopu se zaměříme na vlastní smysly. Za pomoci partnera/ky budeme rozšiřovat pohybové možnosti, probudíme fyzické reakce na vnitřní i vnější podněty a bude zkoumat různé cesty k organizaci jak improvizovaného, tak fixovaného materiálu.
V závěru do hry zapojíme i senzorickou technologii (snímače). Ta nám umožňuje zkoumání a tvorbu nových spojů mezi pohybem a zvukem.
Workshop je určený pro jak pro všechny studenty a profesionály performativního umění, tak pro každého, kdo chce zkusit nový přístup k práci s tělem a se zvukem.
Workshop proběhne v angličtině.

O LEKTORECH:
Mezinárodně aktivní choreografové, tanečníci a digitální umělci Külli Roosna (Estonsko) a Kenneth Flak (Norsko) spolupracují už od roku 2008. Ať už tvoří vlastní choreografie nebo spolupracují s dalšími umělci, jejich práce se zaměřuje na narativitu a technologie těla. Ve svých pracích zkoumají široké spektrum témat, jako je např. hlubinné ekologie, Vikingské mytologie, totalitarismus a internetovou kulturu. Jádrem jejich práce je lidská zkušenost v propojených realitách. Do té pronikají skrze možnosti a limity tančícího těla v neustálém dialogu s digitálními technologiemi a diskurzy, které jej rozšiřují a staví do protikladu.

The purpose of our practice is to create movement responses to a wide range of impulses. For this we integrate ideas from functional anatomy, martial arts and our imagination. We also challenge ourselves with opportunities and limitations provided by sensor technology.
We start with simple movements in order to bring attention to functional connections within the body. This gentle beginning allows us to tune into ourselves, get rooted in the present moment, and prepare for more complex tasks.
In the second part of the workshop we bring attention to our senses. With the help of a partner we expand the range of our movement choices, creating physical responses to internal as well as external impulses, and research different ways of organizing improvised as well as fixed material.
In the end we bring sensor technology into the game, enabling us to research a new set of connections between movement and sound.
Workshop is dedicated to all students and professionals from performing arts as well as to all others who want to experience new approaches to fysical theatre and sound.
Workshop will be held in English.

ABOUT YOUR TUTORS:
Internationally active choreographers, dancers and digital artists Külli Roosna (Estonia) and Kenneth Flak (Norway) have been collaborating since 2008. Whether they are creating their own choreographies or collaborating with others, their work deals with the narratives and technologies of the body. They have explored a wide range of themes, including deep ecology, Viking mythology, totalitarianism and internet culture. The core of their work is human experience in interconnected realities. This is often explored through the dancing body’s possibilities and limitations, in a constant dialogue with the digital technologies and discourses that extend and counterpoint it.
They have performed their works all over the world. Additionally, they teach Responsive Body movement technique, composition, and sensor programming at various universities and festivals, adapting their methodology and content to different contexts.
Their interactive music and dance performance Blood Music was nominated for the Estonian Dance Awards 2015; Stalking Paradise, a commission work for Lublin Dance Theater, was selected for the biannual Polish Dance Days. Prime Mover (2018), Two Body Orchestra (2020) and Singularity (2022) were nominated for the Estonian Dance Awards.
