In the mid-1980’s, Oaklands Mansion was host to an annual Dollhouse Exhibit. We are excited to announce that we are pulling that tradition out of the past this April. During the week of the exhibition, the Mansion will have antique and vintage dollhouses displayed in different rooms. In Maney Hall, guests will find an Exhibition of dollhouses, dioramas, and miniatures made by local artists and hobbyists.
If you are a dollhouse, diorama, or miniatures enthusiast, you don’t want to miss participating this wonderful revival of an old tradition. The Exhibition will be taking place April 7th-11th, 2025 at Oaklands Mansion and Maney Hall. Entry set up will be Sunday, April 6th from 10am-5pm. There will be a reception for the exhibition participants at the end of the exhibit on April 11th at 5:30pm where exhibition prize winners will be announced.
Refreshments will be available for purchase in the Gift Shop. Guest tickets are regular tour admission prices to tour the mansion and the exhibition. Tickets for just the exhibition in Maney Hall will be $5.
The Dollhouse, Diorama, and Miniatures Exhibition is more than a celebration of art and history; it supports a meaningful cause. As a non-profit educational organization, Oaklands Mansion is committed to preserving local history and enriching the community's quality of life. Revenue generated from entry fees and tickets will fuel further community events and initiatives, ensuring that the Mansion continues to be a cornerstone of cultural appreciation and educational opportunities in Murfreesboro.
