The 2023 VAAEC is Friday, February 24 at Camp Bethel (328 Bethel Road, Fincastle, VA 24090). This annual one-day event provides accessible and affordable networking and professional development for students and professionals in the outdoor leadership field. The VAAEC includes an opening "playnote" session and keynote address, multiple workshops, lunch, swag & gear giveaways, and outdoor adventure games.

In case of dangerous weather on February 23 or 24, the make-up date is Saturday, February 25. If both Feb 24 and Feb 25 are cancelled due to dangerous weather, refunds are available.
