Hello all! June is National Audiobook Month and what better way to celebrate than with an Audioathon! Thank you to those that took the time to vote on the poll for whether or not you wanted to see an individual or team based challenge. After reviewing the results we will be moving forward with an individual team challenge. So here's how to play along:
Each player will receive points for every hour read. Times will either be rounded up or down to the nearest hour. For example, 11hrs 40 mins would be rounded up to 12 hours, 11 hrs 31 mins would be rounded down to 11 hrs.
Players will be responsible for keeping track of their own hours and points. Updates will need to be emailed to me at
aperfectmjk@gmail.com or posted on Litsy and tagging me @aperfectmjk every Sunday, 6/6, 6/13, 6/20, with the exception of the last week. Last week's totals will be sent on 6/30. Don't worry, I will send out reminders for everyone.
Earning extra points:
Members participating in #bookspinbingo hosted by @TheAromaofBooks will receive 10 points (hrs) per audiobook completed on their bingo cards. If you complete a bingo using all audiobooks you earn 50 additional points. Yes, that's including the 10 points you will receive for finishing each book.
Members participating in #CuriousCovers hosted by @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks & @Eggs will receive 10 points by posting & reading/listening to books that follow the prompts per day. You will only get points for listening to the book being posted. You cannot earn points for just posting a pic of the book. It must be both, posting a pic and listening to the book.
I am creating a June Holiday Themed Challenge. In honor of all the fun and weird holidays in June, an extra 10 points will be awarded if you listen to a book with any of the prompts provided. You can listen to these in any order and do not need to listen to them on the actual day of the celebrated holiday.
Ex. June 1 – Dare Day – Listen to a book about action/adventure.
