During Field Experiences students will gain personal in-field experience while increasing their awareness of the environment and the bay. Students gain an increased understanding about the Bay’s varied ecosystems and environmental literacy, as well as learning how to use scientific field equipment and data collection. Each event ends with a reflection activity that allows students to express their experience via written observations, creating poems, and/or drawings.
GBF staff will review your registration form, contact you to refine your trip, and present a potential itinerary to you based on your requested activities, season, and grade level.
In the summer, most programs run from 9am-12pm, but can start as early as 8am.
