Shared Housing:
• Contact other directors with whom you might wish to share housing.
• List names of other schools on your application beside the names of their students.
• Application must be received at the KMEA office by December 6, 2019 to ensure full consideration for shared housing.
• All schools that wish to combine students must submit an application.
• Schools sharing housing will not be assigned to a hotel until applications are received from ALL schools sharing housing.
Housing Basics:
• Confirmations will be sent from KMEA when shared housing forms have been received from all schools involved.
• Payment information will be sent with your KMEA office confirmation.
• You must prepay directly to the Hyatt after you receive KMEA office confirmations.
• Failure to prepay will likely result in cancellation of your reservations.
• The All-State Shared Housing Applications survey will close on January 3, 2020.
• The KMEA office will assume no responsibility for housing applications received after January 3.
Housing Costs:
• Housing costs for All-State students and for parents and others chaperoning these students are figured on the basis of three night’s occupancy.
• KMEA policy states that teachers are to seek housing in the same hotel as their students. All schools are to provide their own chaperone of record. Include room(s) for chaperones and director on this submission.
• Payment will be made directly to the hotel with a check or credit card. The Hyatt does not accept purchase orders.
• Save sales tax by including a copy of your school's tax exempt status form with your payment. (You still will be responsible for a 9.5% hotel tax)
