We invite talented individuals of all ages to be part of our empowering "Art for Change" showcase event on March 2, 2024, from 11 am to 4 pm at the Community Church at 45 Crosby Ave., Richmond Hill, ON, L4C 2R3. This event is a celebration of local Black artists, designed for Grades 4 to 12 and an intergenerational audience. Youth who perform can receive volunteer hours towards their high school diploma.

"Art for Change" is a transformative experience that uses art to address crucial themes, with a specific focus on mental health awareness. Aligned with Black Mental Health Awareness Week, this initiative aims to spark local conversations and extend its impact nationwide.

Contribute your voice to the movement for positive change! If you're a spoken word artist, poet, musician, or have a talent to share, sign up for our open mic session. Be part of an inspiring event that encourages creativity and community engagement.

Fill out the provided sign-up form below. Please note the rules of the show:
- Your spot will be confirmed only after receiving an email confirmation from our team.
- If you haven’t heard back, unfortunately, your spot is not assigned.
- The host may allow additional performers if time permits after scheduled performances.
- ALL PERFORMERS MUST BE IN THE SPACE BETWEEN 10 to 11 am for soundcheck.
- ALL PERFORMERS MUST BE PRESENT FROM 10 am to 2 pm to ensure readiness when called.
Rules:
- Performers under 16 years must have parent/guardian permission.
- Each artist is allotted 5 minutes.
- Bring your own instruments/tracks.
- Perform in any language.
- Promote your performance by sharing the provided link with family, friends, and followers.
- ZERO TOLERANCE for swearing, cursing, degratory language use, graphic violence, homophobic, sexist, racist, agesit references or language - your music will be turned down and you will be invited to leave the stage during your performance if these rules are not followed
