This 2-day interactive workshop aims to equip participants with knowledge and skills in the care for the elderly at home. The workshop aims to address concerns in age-related changes, recognizing early signs of health issues and some preventive care, tips of communication including with person with dementia, assisting in personal care for frail elderly and caregiver wellness.  It also serves to introduce caregiving as a career option to those considering to join the intermediate and long-term care sector.

Course Objectives
The workshop aims to equip participants with the knowledge and Skills of a befriender in order to communicate and interact with the elderly who requires social support in community.

For day 1-3: Learners can assess the learning material anytime from 9am to 5pm and post their comments/questions during their e learning. Course facilitator will be available to answer questions and check classwork at below specific time:
      Day 1 – 22 June @ 4pm-5pm
      Day 2 – 23 June @ 4pm-5pm
      Day 3 – 24 June @ 3.30pm-5pm

For day 4-5: Facilitator will Zoom meet learners on:
     Day 4 -  25 June @ 10am-12noon
     Day 5 -  26 June @ 10am-1130am
