SuMO VI Academic (July 10) Registration
This form is specifically for pairings registering for SuMO VI: The Rise of Franklin's academic event, to be held on July 10 in the Meen Center at Tusculum University.

SuMO is the Summer Mixed Open. You register as a partnership of two. On the morning of the tournament, you and your partner will be paired with another partnership, roughly based on your experience and skill level; you will play the tournament with that other partnership, two partnerships paired as a team of four. (You'll establish a team name when you're paired up.) We do this to try to build the most evenly-paired field possible; we want every game to be as competitive as possible.

As such, you'll be asked some questions in the form about your most recent quizbowl experience and your self-assessment of your quality. Please answer honestly; we'll also use the information you give us to research your track record as a player, and we'll make sure you're seeded accordingly. The tournament will mirror STASH, which is a nationals-level set from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology; keep the question level in mind when you're answering these questions as well.

The registration fee is $50 per partnership, and if at all possible, we need that registration fee in cash; that'll make the redistribution of the prize money easier to handle.

Be aware that Tusculum is still under a ruleset associated with the reopening of the campus under COVID, and while that ruleset may be formally relaxed before July, as of right now that ruleset still asks us to make sure everybody is masked and everybody signs a waiver as they come onto campus. The current edition of the "Pioneer Pathway" is at this website, and you're most interested in Pages 14 and 15:

If you have additional questions, please contact the general East Tennessee Quizbowl email handle (easttnquizbowl@gmail.com).

Thanks for your interest and we welcome you to SuMO!

GIMME CHICAGO OPEN
Go back up there and be as honest as you can with that answer.
You probably can't wreck shop at Chicago Open. That's okay. You might even get your rear handed to you by a community college team. That's okay too. Your honest answer helps us make the tournament as evenly balanced as possible.
Is Player 1 a free agent looking for a partner to join with? (If you don't know what this means, your answer is almost certainly "no.") *
Player 2 name
Player 2 is best classified as a ________ player.

I've had PhD professors tell me before that middle school questions are hard. Again: nothing to be ashamed of. The more honest the answer, the better the tournament we have.
Are one or both players going to be available to help staff SuMO Trash on July 11th?
