We are conducting a survey on public perception of privacy and data protection as it relates to Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), part of a research for a journal. We want your opinion concerning the protection of personal information, your rights as a data subject and the effectiveness of the existing legal framework.
CBDCs are digital versions of a nation's legal tender, issued and backed by the government. Current examples are Nigeria's e-Naira by the CBN and Ghana's e-Cedi by the BoG.
Your responses to the survey are anonymous and will be kept confidential. We do not collect names, email address or other personal information that will identify you directly. However, the survey ask questions concerning your opinion on the state of privacy and CBDC for solely statistical and research purpose. The result of the survey will influence future advocacy work in Africa and be published in a journal.
