This program aims to promote awareness among businesspeople and legal practitioners about the state-of-the-art
facilities of the Japan International Dispute Resolution Center (JIDRC) that
are available for use in international arbitration cases. The program will begin with an in-person
guided tour of the said facilities for the participants on site. For guests
joining online, a video tour of the said facilities will be featured.
Thereafter, the participants on-site will gather together for a Q&A about
the developments in international arbitration in Japan. Representatives from
the JIDRC and the Japan Commercial Arbitration Association (JCAA) will explain
what Japan has done right in the last five years and what else it can do in the
next five years to become a preferred seat of arbitration. The Q&A will be
broadcasted to those joining online. The program will end with a brief
networking opportunity for the participants on-site. Social distancing and
other safety measures will be observed at the venue.
Format: Hybrid event
(in-person up to 50 people and Zoom broadcast at the JIDRC)
