POW Optical Design Team Application Form
Thank you for your interest in joining POW Optical Design Team. We are looking for the next group of tutors for our team. If interested, please fill out the application below along with sending your up-to-date resume to OpticalDesign@optics.arizona.edu. We also require a letter of reference or recommendation (300 words or less) from a professor within the Wyant College of Optical Sciences.

Are you able to commit to the Optical Design Team for a minimum of 2 years? *
Are you able to commit at least 4 hours to hosting workshops in a semester? This is approximately two workshops. *
Are you able to commit to being available during the week to support tutoring sessions? These normally are scheduled for 1-2 hours each, and are scheduled at a rate of about 1-2 per week. *
Are you able to commit to a three-day Introduction to OpticStudio training during the summer (during either May or June)? *
Are you able to commit to two, three-day training sessions during the fall semester (Introduction to CODE V and Introduction to Illumination Design using LightTools, and Introduction to Non-Sequential Mode in OpticStudio)? *
Are you able to commit to two, three-day training sessions during the spring semester (Advanced Optical System Design and Designing Optomechanical Systems with OpticsBuilder, and Advanced CODE V)? *
Would you be interested in managing the Practical Optics Workshop social media presence? *
Would you be interested in becoming a chair or co-chair of the Optical Design Team in the spring semester of 2021? *
