In the land where Christianity was born, little is ever said about the Christian minority. Tracing their roots back to the early Christians they have lived side by side with Muslims and Jews for more than a thousand years, yet their voices are seldom heard and worse: their existence often ignored.

Author of 'Palestinian Memories', born in 1946 in Jerusalem. Two years later, his father was killed in the Arab-Israeli war and the family became refugees. Pastor Awad and his family fled to East Jerusalem. Pastor Awad and his wife Brenda serve in Israel and Palestine under the support of the United Methodist Church’s Global Affairs Council. He served as dean of students at Bethlehem Bible College and senior pastor at East Jerusalem Baptist Church until their retirement in June 2015. Pastor and Mrs. Awad travel throughout the United States and around the world to promote peace and justice between the Israeli and Palestinian peoples.
