Bryn Deva - Curriculum 2022 - Parents' Questionnaire
We are currently in the process of evaluating our curriculum here at Ysgol Bryn Deva. We are looking at what we currently do and why we do it. We will look at all aspects of our curriculum and our current teaching practices. We want to design a curriculum that is suited to our local area, providing our learners with the necessary knowledge, skills and experiences to prepare them for the next stage of their educational journey.
We are in the process of designing our new local curriculum which becomes statutory in September 2022. In order to do this, we would love your input. As staff, we have discussed what we want our learners to know, what they should be and what they should be able to do when they leave Bryn Deva. We would like you to answer those questions, thinking about your child when they come to leave Bryn Deva in Year 6.
The new curriculum is made up of 6 areas of learning which are: Maths & Numeracy, Language, Literacy & Communication, Science & Technology, Health & Well-being, Expressive Arts and Humanities. Please consider these areas when you answer the question about what key knowledge you think your children should learn in our new curriculum.
The questionnaire is anonymous so please answer honestly to help us identify what you think our learners should be able to do, what they should be and what they should know when they leave Bryn Deva.
Thank you for taking the time to do this questionnaire, we really appreciate it.
