The “Spirit of the Hill” is awarded to an outstanding individual, business or organization that has been exemplary in their work to make Capitol Hill a great place to live, work, and play. This award is presented at the Annual State of the Hill event in January.

• Be an outstanding ambassador for the Capitol Hill community

• Demonstrate leadership in the community; engage in significant volunteer activities and be a positive role model for others

• Visibly support the diverse Capitol Hill community by providing support to individuals, nonprofit organizations, political issues, or other community-wide causes
