TJ Information Session
This information session is for students and families who are Interested in learning about Thomas Jefferson High School for Science & Technology (TJ) and its admissions process. Come to this session to learn more about the school and what is needed to apply to TJ.

This event is Tuesday September 19th at Poe Middle School . Food is served at 5:30pm in the cafeteria, presentation starts at 6:00pm in the  Cafeteria.  Transportation will be provided for those who need it.  Please complete this survey as soon as possible. 

Few things to know ahead of the event:

  • The event is open to all grade levels 6th- 8th and is geared toward the admissions process.
  • Students who are interested in going to TJ can only apply in their 8th grade year.
  • To be eligible to apply to TJ there are several requirements that students need to meet including students taking specific types of classes (Algebra 1 HN in 8th grade or higher as well as honors classes ).
  • TJ is an application school, which means unless a student gets accepted, they cannot attend TJ.

While we will only offer Spanish translation during the event,  all families are welcomed to attend the session and bring your child or another family member or friend who can assist in asking any questions.
