The "true crime" genre -- which covers the gory details of famous or unsolved murders (e.g., Serial, Making Murderer, etc.) -- is extremely popular (in podcasts, tv shows, etc.). Why do you think this is? Why are people so fascinated by these stories? *
In Spain, a mass shooter awaits trial for his crime and faces life in prison. During the shootout with police he was severely and irreparably injured. Spain recently passed a law that allows people to commit euthanasia (legal suicide) if life is "too arduous" as a result of health issues. 

The shooter's lawyers are arguing that: 1) his condition merits euthanasia; 2) the shooter wants to die; and 3) that the shooter should be allowed to die instead of going through trial/prison. The victims' families are upset and argue he should not be allowed to evade his punishment (life in prison). Who is right here? What do you think should happen in this case?
