The Live, Eat, Grow Internship is a 80 hour summer commitment starting in June. The internship is a hands-on program that includes training and community service hours devoted to a community garden project.
Applications are open to students who fulfill the following requirements:- rising 10th, 11th, 12th grade student (must be at 14 years old or older)
- interested in food, gardening, agriculture, environment
- dependable, organized, motivated
- able to commit to the training days and times outlined below.
- priority given to students living or going to school in the Route 1 area.
Training Dates:Intensive Training on Farm: 32 hours
June 24th - 27th (8 am - 12 pm) - 16 hours
July 8th - 11th (8 am - 12 pm) - 16 hours
Community Service Days: Fridays (9am - 12pm) -12 hours
July 19st, July 26th, August 2th, August 9th
Volunteer Days at Farm: Saturdays (9am -12pm) -18 hours
June 8th, July 13th, August 10th, September 14th, October 12th, November 9th
Community Service Commitment: 18 hours of community service to be served at Arcadia's different sites.
Interns receive $15 an hour for up to 80 hours or $1,200
