Introduction: In our Gospel lesson we heard about Works of Mercy. Now lets take a little more time to learn more about them. First there are two types of Works of Mercy, Spiritual and Corporal. Spiritual Works of Mercy are when we take care of one another's spiritual and emotional needs. Corporal Works of Mercy are things we do to help take care of the needs of other people's bodies.  Now lets turn to page 4 in your November 22nd Good News Weekly and read "Loving as Jesus Does" then turn to page 45 in your Handbook and see a short list of the Spiritual Works of Mercy and Corporal Works of Mercy. When you are done looking at the lists turn to page 3 in your Gospel Weekly and read the Catholic Faith Word section.

Fantastic!! Good work! Remember that when we do for others, we do for Jesus. In one of our previous lessons we learned about Jesus' Great Commandment where we are to love God and love your neighbor as yourself. Works of Mercy are a great way to show that love to our neighbors. Try to remember or memorize the list of Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy listed below and see how you might be able to add these Works of Mercy into your daily life and fulfill God's Greatest Commandment!!
