Mae’n ofyniad cyfreithiol i rieni/gofalwyr gael caniatâd y Pennaeth cyn symud eu plentyn o’r ysgol er mwyn cymryd unrhyw wyliau yn ystod y tymor. Nid oes gan rieni hawl awtomatig i fynd â’u plant allan o’r ysgol am wyliau yn ystod y tymor a gellir rhoi Hysbysiad Cosb iddynt os gwnânt hynny heb drefniant ymlaen llaw gyda’r Pennaeth. Dim ond mewn amgylchiadau eithriadol y mae'r ddeddfwriaeth yn caniatáu i'r Pennaeth awdurdodi gwyliau o'r fath. I wneud cais i blentyn gael caniatâd i fod yn absennol o’r ysgol dylai rhieni lenwi’r ffurflen hon a’i dychwelyd i’r ysgol i’w hystyried ymhell cyn yr absenoldeb arfaethedig a chyn ymrwymo i unrhyw gost. Ar ôl derbyn cais bydd y Pennaeth yn penderfynu a ddylid awdurdodi’r absenoldeb, gan gadw mewn cof rheoliadau’r llywodraeth a chanllawiau’r ALl. Yn ôl diffiniad, ni ddylai teithiau eithriadol ddigwydd yn rheolaidd. Os oes gan yr ysgol bryderon am y cais am wyliau, bydd y Pennaeth neu gynrychiolydd yn trefnu i gwrdd â chi i drafod eich cais.
It is a legal requirement for parents/carers to obtain the permission of the Headteacher before removing
their child from school in order to take any leave in term time. Parents do not have an automatic right to
take their children out of school for leave during term time and may be issued with a Penalty Notice if they do so without prior arrangement with the Headteacher. The legislation only
allows the Headteacher to authorise such leave in exceptional circumstances.
To apply for a child to be granted leave from school parents should complete this form and return it to
school for consideration well in advance of the proposed leave and before committing to any
expense. Upon receipt of a request the Headteacher will make a decision as to whether to authorise the
absence, being mindful of government regulations and LA guidance. By definition, exceptional trips should
not occur regularly.
Where school have concerns about the leave request, the Headteacher or representative will arrange
to meet with you to discuss your application.
