Open Pedagogy: putting students in the center of OER creation
Open pedagogy or OER-enabled pedagogy is the practice of teaching and learning designed to allow students to demonstrate their learning while growing the knowledge community and academic scholarship.  The aim, to do away with the exhaustive disposable assignment that takes students' energy and time out of the world by enabling them to contribute to the world with their course work.  At the end of this webinar, participants will
- understand the principles behind open pedagogical practices
- have seen examples of ways in which open pedagogy has been successful
- understand the challenges of student contributions and licensing
- know basic models of OEP that can be implemented into varied disciplines

TARGET AUDIENCE: Instructors and instructional support staff of any variety are invited to attend.  All resources shared are open access or open educational resources (OER) to further facilitate OER awareness and use.

ACCESS:  Registration is required to join the session.  Registrants will receive a calendar invite through WebEx.  Registrants are encouraged to download the Cisco WebEx app prior to the start of the session.

Christina is the Montana Statewide OER Coordinator for TRAILS through a partnership with the Montana University System.  She comes to Montana with over 15 years in academic libraries as well as experience teaching college courses with OER.
