What is it? The purpose of 30 hour famine is a time where we fast for 30 hours to raise money to help feed, clothe and care for others. 

How we do it? Students will start to fast from Friday Lunch on 3/15 and end the fast on 3/16 @6pm. They will stay for lock-in on 3/15 (Friday night) and serve in various community projects on Saturday morning. You must raise a minimum of $40 which is $1.34 for every hour you fast, in order to participate in famine events on March 15-16. 

Why we do it?   We do 30 hour famine to experience hunger and learn how people in poverty suffer. We fast in prayer and in service to others. Fasting involves being present and giving up time, energy, food, etc for the benefit of others.
