The Economic Investment Award recognizes
a company's investment in equipment, machinery, materials, real estate, and
employees within Lumpkin County. A few examples include: capital
investment, growth of new jobs, expansion of operations.
The Corporate Responsibility Award recognizes
a company that brings a high level of value to the community and generates
positive impact. A few examples include: company-sponsored community
involvement efforts, i.e. literacy, mentoring, volunteer programs, and civic
involvement.
The Workforce Development Award recognizes
a company's initiatives to educate and train individuals to meet the current
and future needs of a business while also positively contributing to the
overall labor force in Lumpkin County. A few examples include: employee
education programs, apprenticeship or work-based learning participation,
employee awards.
*State of the Economy Award nominations must be
submitted no later than August 31, 2024.
