MPS ACCESS
Device - Parent Information

Minot Public Schools (MPS) is supporting 21st Century learning goals by assigning a chromebook to all students. Students in grades 6-12 have the opportunity to take the Chromebook home. Students will need to bring the Chromebook to class each day. The Chromebook is an educational tool like a textbook or notebook, that supports the individual learning needs of each student. Elementary students will be allowed to checkout a Chromebook in certain situations with the approval of the principal.

The policies and procedures within the MPS ACCESS document apply to all students who are assigned a chromebook. We ask that parents/guardians review the information in the online document www.bit.ly/MPSACCESS with your student then complete this form.

Student Responsibility
Bring the chromebook to class each day. Report any technical problems or lost chromebooks right away. Use the chromebook in a responsible and ethical manner. Follow general school rules concerning behavior and communication that apply to network use and the Minot Public Schools Technology Acceptable Use Policy.

Assist Minot Public Schools in protecting our computer system by contacting an administrator about any security problems students encounter.

In the event that a family is responsible for payment, due to loss, theft or damage, a notice will be sent with a brief explanation and amount due. Payments should be made through the student’s school office or online per the instructions on the notice. Rates for repair can be found in the MPS ACCESS document.
