Light the Way - Dec 19 @ 5pm
2020 has turned out to be a very unexpected year, but it does not change the hope Christmas and Jesus brings! This year we are going to try something a little different to celebrate and bring a bit of joy to our community.

We invite you and those in your household to join us in a car parade. Please decorate your cars (rules outlined below) and we will make our way through South Vancouver to "Light the Way" for the season with carols and prayers over our city.

The actual parade route will be approximately 45 minutes, starting from Lord's Love Church.

Please respond by Dec 18th, noon. No drop-ins, please make sure to sign up.

FYI, we have been communicating with multiple community offices and a constable to ensure we host this event in a safe way. We are expecting an officer to join us for this event, though they will be on-duty and may leave to tend to other police matters.

RULES
- Make sure the lights are securely fastened, do not use tape. We suggest using ribbon or zipties. Here are some videos that may help you for figuring out how to tie ribbons so that you can secure lights onto them:

- No strobing or flickering lights
- No red and blue lights in a pattern that might cause confusion with an emergency vehicle
- Do not exit your vehicles to mingle at any time during this parade
- Make sure to follow all rules of the road at all times. If there is a stop sign, red light, etc. obey the rules even if you get separated from the rest of the procession. Just catch up after.
- We do not advise decorating your car with lights on your normal day-to-day driving.
